    The Central and Western Bohemian Basins as well as the Krkonoše Piedmont Basin are described as a part of the late Palaeozoic basins of the Bohemian Massif. The lithostratigraphic units are described including sedimentology and fossil record. All ten excursion localities of Pennsylvanian and Permian age are thoroughly described.
