Original language description
The bryophytes were collected in July 2003 in the Bihor Mountains (Apuseni Mountains, western part of Romania). Altogether 23 localities were visited and about 100 moss species were collected. The interesting occurrences of several species are discussed.The recorded moss Buxbamia viridis is classified as vulnerable in Europe (European Committee for Conservation of Bryophytes - ECCB). In Romania 18 taxa are classified as sporadic species, eight mosses belong to rare species and three species are classified as very rare (sensu Dihoru, 1994).

Czech description
V červenci 2003 proběhl v pohoří Bihor (Apuseni, západní Rumunsko) sběrný výzkum mechorostů. Na 23 lokalitách bylo sbíráno asi 100 druhů mechů. Mech Buxbamia viridis je pro území Evropy klasifikován jako ohrožený (European Committee for Conservation of Bryophytes - ECCB). Dalších 18 taxonů je považováno pro Rumunsko za sporadické druhy, osm mechů za vzácné a tři druhy za velmi vzácné (sensu Dihoru, 1994).
