Bryophytes on rock cliffs in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands
Original language description
Bryofloristic surveys of 15 rock habitats were made in the Žďárské vrchy highlands (Czech Republic) in 2006 and 2007. These localities are included in nature reserves consisting of rocks and sometimes of block fields. Altogether 129 bryophyte species (36liverworts, 93 mosses) were recorded, two of them threatened. The most common live strategies are colonist and perennials. The most frequent distrubution range types are temperate, boreal, and subboreal. We observed an incerase of species number and Orthotrichum lineare records in areas with a higher level of tourism.
