This book presents the results of many years research carried out by th social sciences staff of the oldest cultural institution in Moravia - the Moravian Museum. Particular chapters are focused on important or insufficiently elaborate moments of moravian prehistory and history and also cultural phenomenons and personality which had significantly impact on historical area of Moravia. Particular texts are focused on whole range of topics from portfolio of social sciences in Moravian Museum uncluding Moravian Palaeolithic, Bronze Age, La Téne period, Great Moravian Empire, material history of mediaeval everyday life, history of ecclesiastical corporations (in this place primarily Order of St John of Jerusalem) or Moravian currency history between 1648-1750. Observed are also personality of Johann Gregor Mendel, Leoš Janášek or via Daniel Sloboda phenomenon of the Moravian National Revival.
