    The article presents the history of Czech family puppet theatre as important period of the Czech amateur theatre of the first half 20th century. It concentrates principally on the its stage design ? the printed table scenes and stage sets. The contribution assess? the historic significance and function of family puppet theatre in the development of Czech puppeteering. In its practise and traditional performance techniques it finds something imperishable and inspiratible.
