Sphenodus Agassiz (Neoselachii, Synechodontiformes, Oxfordian) from the Hády Hill in Brno, Czech Republic - A preliminary report
Original language description
The Hády hill locality represents the Upper Jurassic sedimentary sequence of the south-eastern margin of the Bohemian Massif. During the last decade, new shark material was discovered at the Hády locality, and it presented the opportunity to place this fauna in context with other Jurassic European sites. At this time, two near-complete Sphenodus teeth are presented. Because at least 24 species (ranging from the Early Jurassic to the Palaeocene) were referred to Sphenodus, detailed study will be requiredin order to precisely identify the species represented.
