To the Anticipation of the Synthetic Theory in Czechoslovakia
Original language description
A thorough knowledge and understanding the nature of the Mendel discovery was certainly a necessary condition for the creation of a synthetic theory of evolution. The initial stage is usually associated with the second half of the twenties of the twentieth century and with the works of researchers J. B. S. Haldane, R. A. Fisher in Great Britain and S. Wright in America. But less known is the fact that in former Czechoslovakia proved clearly formulate important ideas and thoughts towards the synthetic evolutionary theory already in 1922 Bohumil Němec, an important personality in our history of the life sciences.
