Johann Mendel was born on 22 July 1822 in Vražné in Silesia and died as Abbot Gregor Mendel on 6 January 1884 in Brno in Moravia. It is our goal to raise worldwide awareness among geneticists, other professionals, and the public of the current significance of Mendel's life and work as a scientific and spiritual figure, a founder of genetics, and a contributor to meteorology and agriculture, pedagogy, and his religious community. Mission and Vision: Improving scientific literacy and awareness, education, appreciation of science, celebration, inspiration for trainees, students and the public, international collaboration and enjoyment.
