Original language description
The article deals with the possible images of Salome in Visual Art during last centuries. Based on three styles by Wickhoff, the visual representation of Salome is divided into three main branches according to main features of depicted woman and on number of represented scenes. Article cover and describe the well-known images since Middle Ages, starting with Giotto, to 19th century, where it examines also the connection to literature.
