Two new high-montane species of Mumetopia Melander, 1913 with reduced wings from Andean páramo are described, viz M. messor and M. taeniata spp. n. Cladistic analysis of the relationships of Mumetopia, Chamaebosca, Stiphrosoma, Cercagnota and two unnamedNeotropical genera (Genus B and Genus M) is conducted based on selected characters. The phylogenetic hypothesis revealed that the current concept of Mumetopia is polyphyletic because its two groups, viz. Mumetopia s. str. (= M. occipitalis group) and M.nigrimana group originate from different clades: Mumetopia s. str. is related to (unnamed) Genus B and also Genus M, while the sister-group of the M. nigrimana group proved to be Stiphrosoma. Chamaebosca seems to be intermediate between these two branches but forms a sister-group to the clade Genus M + Genus B + Mumetopia s. str. Cercagnota is postulated as a sister-group to remaining genera forming the Chamaebosca group of genera, the relationships of which is well supported by synapom

Nové brachypterní druhy rodu Mumetopia Melander, s analýzou příbuzenských vztahů tohoto rodu, rodu Chamaebosca Speiser a příbuzných rodů (Diptera: Anthomyzidae)

Czech description

Jsou popsány 2 vysokohorské druhy rodu Mumetopia Melander, 1913 s redukovaným křídly z Andského páramo ekosystému, viz M. messor and M. taeniata spp. n. Na základě vybraných znaků je provedena kladistická analýza příbuznosti rodů Mumetopia, Chamaebosca,Stiphrosoma, Cercagnota a 2 nepojmenovaných neotropických rodů (rod B a rod M). Fylogenetická hypotéza odhalila, že současná koncepce rodu Mumetopia je polyfyletická, protože dvě jeho skupiny, tj. Mumetopia s. str. (= skupina M. occipitalis group) a skupina M. nigrimana jsou odlišného původu: Mumetopia s. str. je příbuzná s (nepojmenovaným) rodem B a také rodem M, zatímco sesterskou skupinou skupiny M. nigrimana je rod Stiphrosoma. Rod Chamaebosca se ukázal být poněkud intermediální mezi těmito dvěma klady ale tvoří sesterskou skupinu ke kladu rod M + rod B + Mumetopia s. str. Rod Cercagnota je postulován jako sesterská skupina zbývajících rodů, které tvoří skupinu rodu Chamaebosca, jejichž společný původ je podpořen řadou synapomorfií.
