Letter to the Editor Yin-Yang vascular imaging sign in basilar artery dissection Keywords: Ying-yang sign Dissection Basilar artery MRI A 45 year-old-man presented with acute onset of vertigo and un- steadiness. Several hours later the patient developed complete left- sided hemiplegia with facial involvement. He had no head or neck pain and he did not report any recent head or neck injury. His past medical history was signi fi cant for a recently diagnosed arterial hypertension with poor adhesion to the proposed medical treatment. Initial brain computed tomography scan (CT) showed a partially hyperdense and dilated basilar artery ( Fig. 1 A).
