Comparison of robust approach and monte carlo methods in uncertainty analysis

  • Original language description

For the evaluation of uncertainty a standard methodology is used. This is very well documented in the case of standard procedures (calibration of SPRT in fixed point, calibration by comparison). For the proper propagation of the uncertainty the model ofthe measurement, together with their parameters is needed to be known. In the case, when sensors are calibrated in more points, redundant information is used as a validation of the model. This paper will show the comparison of robust approach and Monte Carlo analysis in uncertainty evaluation of the measurement. A special case with regards of the different level of the measured point?s uncertainty will be discussed. This will lead to the different minimization criteria based on Bayesian approach and different uncertainty propagation methodology. In the case of robust methods this approach will also eliminate the influence of the outline measurements in the calibration. The Monte Carlo analysis will show the influence of distribution pro
