In the frame of the European Metrology Research Program a multi-institute project focused on the development of new advanced techniques for providing improved traceability to the kelvin to support its wider and simpler dissemination to science, industryand, in general, every user of temperature measurements. The main objectives of the project are to develop simpler and cheaper primary thermometers, new robust high performance sensors, optimisation of calibration procedures and reduced uncertainties intemperature measurement. This paper gives an overview of the project and the different activities that are being developed.
