A temperature control system has been designed for the predicatable quantum efficient detector (PQED). The PQED requires temperature stabilisation at a set point to within ?0.05 °C and operability over the temperature range -20.0 °C to 30 °C. In addition, a gas simple purging system been designed to prevent condensation and ice formation in the device when stabilised below the ambient dew point temperture.when operated at lower temperatures.
