Closed cycle refrigerators and their application for realization of QHR
Original language description
Today's a quantum Hall resistance standard (QHR) requires external supply of liquid helium. Main disadvantages:• Operation costs due to helium prices • Infrastructure needed to recycle evaporated helium gas • Skilled staff required. The discovery of Quantum Hall effect in graphene made possible the measurement setup without an external supply of liquid helium. Main advantages of the setup: • Lower operation costs • Faster, yet more reliable operation • Improved safety.
