EURAMET TC Flow Summer School
Original language description
The Summer School gave metrologists new to the field of gas flow, liquid flow, fluid speed (velocity) and liquid volume measurements an introductory overview of the current international metrology standards. This was followed by more detailed insight about the metrology disciplines with the aim to prepare them for their future work. The School provided in-depth training in flow and related measurements. The course tutors were internationally recognised experts in their fields. The School was highly interactive with plenty of time for discussions and questions. During registration students were invited to identify their specific training interest, to ensure that the course tutors can tailor the lectures accordingly. An important part of the course was spent in the laboratories - getting hands on experience in the practice of gas flow, liquid flow, fluid speed (velocity) and liquid volume measurements. The course was a valuable opportunity to network with likeminded colleagues at an early stage of your career. 56 participants took part in the summer school from the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Kosovo, Lithuania, Malawi, Moldova, North Macedonia, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Uganda, Uzbekistan 10 expert lecturers gave the training: Bodo Mickan (PTB Germany), Dietmar Pachinger (BEV/E+E Austria), Elsa Batista (IPQ Portugal), Erik Smits (VSL The Netherlands), Hugo Bissig (METAS Switzerland), Isabelle Care (LNE-CETIAT France), Miroslava Benková (CMI Czechia), Oliver Büker (RISE Sweden), Tomas Valenta (CMI Czechia), Tanasko Tasic (EURAMET)
