  • Original language description

A supplementary comparison was conducted for the calibration of Antenna Factors (AF) for several different types of antennas. The involved partners in this comparison are TÜBİTAK UME (Türkiye), CMI (Czech Republic), SIQ (Slovenia) and RISE (Sweden). The different antennas cover the frequency range 9 kHz - 40 GHz and are calibrated using different methods. The calibrations have been divided into three different sub-groups. These are: - Calibrations using the Equivalent Capacitor Substitution Method (ECSM). This method is used for calibrating monopole antennas in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. - Calibrations using an Open Area Test Site (OATS). This method is primarily used in the frequency range 30 MHz to 1 GHz on broadband antennas such as, for instance, Biconical Antennas and Log Periodic Dipole Antennas (LPDA). - Calibrations using Free Space conditions. This is used for antennas in the range 1 GHz to 40 GHz, mainly for horn antennas, hybrid antennas whose part is over 1 GHz and some precision biconical antennas. Only horn antennas were used in this comparison.
