A positive fluid balance does not deteriorate tissue metabolism during fluid resuscitation of sepsis
Original language description
Fluid resuscitation of sepsis is corner stone of the treatment. Simple method of monitoration of tissue metabolism is microdialysis. The aim of study was to monitorate tissue metabolism during the fluid resuscitation of sepsis. There was experimental study on domestical pigs. Using Pearson's method of correlation we found possitive correlation between lactate/pyruvate ratio and possitive fluid balance and negative correlation in control group. We conclude, that positive fluid balance during the initialtreatment of sepsis is safe.
