The article offers detailed information about organisation and realisation of the Advanced Workshop on planning and operating hospitals under fire and extreme circumstances. It was held in Haifa, Israel, between the 17th and 20th November, 2014. There were in total 23 participants from 10 countries present. Combination of lectures of respected professionals /invited speakers/, group discussions, practical demonstrations and a field study created a very fruitful environment supporting the subject matter issues. The organisation of the Workshop was supported by NATO Grant ESC (2013) 0543 ISEG.MD.ARW984678.
