MIC-1(makrophage inhibitory cytokine-1) is a key inducer of cancer realted anorexia and weight loss. Its concentration is signiphicantly higher in anorexia nervosa patients and decrease with treatment. Therefore, it is possible that MIC-1 plays a role innutritional status in anorexia nervosa.
