Synthesis and in vitro evaluation of N-(bromobut-3-en-2-yl)-7-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridin-9-amine as a cholinesterase inhibitor with regard to Alzheimer's disease treatment
Original language description
The new cholinesterase inhibitor N-(bromobut-3-en-2-yl)-7-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridin-9-amine was synthesized. This compound was found to be poor inhibitor of cholinesterases in vitro, but it showed 15-fold higher selectivity towards acetylcholinesterase compared to tacrine. The molecular docking study found different binding of tacrine or 7-MEOTA compared to our new compound and explained its low inhibitory ability in vitro.
