Brain, mind and consciousness: advances in neuroscience research
Original language description
According to recent evidence mental functions and consciousness are related to specific brain structures, but at the same time there is evidence that mental functions and consciousness are related to the binding of diffuse and synchronized neural activities. These findings strongly suggest that the neural binding cannot be simply explained paradigm suggesting localization of the mental functions, thus necessitating substantial revision of the Cartesian concept of the brain and localization of consciousness.
