In this cross-sectional study, serum and urinary urate levels were measured in a large population of patients with normal and abnormal kidney function over time to characterize changes in urate excretion in individuals with normal and abnormal kidney function. Individuals with uromodulin-associated kidney disease were also analyzed, and their results were compared with those of the larger population under study
