Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common psychiatric condition. Its main symptoms include attention deficit in the presence of impulsivity, chronic restlessness, understimulation, disorganised behaviour, disorders of affect control, and emotional lability. WMH (World Mental Health) studies show that an average of 50% of children with ADHD continue to meet the DSM-IV criteria for ADHD as adults. Persistence is closely related to the profile of ADHD symptoms in childhood (with the highest persistence being linked to the combination of inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive types, while the lowest persistence of the symptoms has been found in the hyperactive-impulsive type). The aim of this work is to point out the influence of the ADHDsymptoms on the quality of life of adults diagnosed with this disorder.
