We have taken interest in a recently published study by Wu et al regarding ultrasound examination in patients with piriformis syndrome. We would like to congratulate their excellent work in recognizing thicker piriformis muscles and sciatic nerves in symptomatic participants. Herein, we would like to add more comments regarding anatomic consideration of the piriformis complex, which will significant enrich this clinically important article.
