    The article describes predisposition HLA alleles: DRB1*03, DRB1*04 and DQB1*0302, and protective HLA alleles: DQB1*0602, DQB1*0603, DQB1*0301 in patients withautoimmune diabetes mellitus with onset after 35 years of age. Due to increasing influence of environmental factors in late age is the genetic predisposition to diabetes lower in adults than in children.
