Medial Temporal Atrophy (MTA) on magnetic resonance images in patients with Alzheimer disease

  • Original language description

Magnetic resonance images of patients with Alzheimer disease and healthy volunteers. Hippocampal volumetry and MTA score evaluated as a diagnostic tools in Alzheimer disease. We have observed positive correlation between relatively precise hippocampal volumetry and naked eye estimation of MTA - decrease in hippocampal volume is accompanied by increase in MTA score, which marks greater temporal lesion of the brain
