Previous studies of patients with unipolar depression have shown that early decrease of prefrontal EEG cordance in theta band can predict clinical response to various antidepressants. We have now examined whether decrease of prefrontal quantitative EEG (QEEG) cordance value after 1 week of venlafaxine treatment predicts clinical response to venlafaxine in resistant patients

Časná redukce prefrontální theta QEEG kordance predikuje odpověď na léčbu venlafaxinem u pacientů s reistentní depresivní poruchou
Czech description
Ve studii bylo analyzováno 25 pacientů, kteří ukončili 4 týdenní léčbu venlafaxinem. Jedenáct z 12 respondérů redukovalo prefrontální kordanci po 1. týdnu léčbu zatímco u nonrespondérů to bylo pouze 5 z 13 pacientů. Pozitivní a negativní prediktivní hodnota redukce kordance pro odpověď na 4- týdenní léčbu venlafaxinem je 0,7 , respektive 0,9. Časná redukce prefrontální kordance může být užitečným nástrojem v predikci odpovědi na antidepresiva
