Anti-tau antibodies in patients with multiple sclerosis. From pathogenesis to therapy of autoimmune diseases

  • Original language description

The presence of IgG antibodies against tau protein in serum and cerebrospinal fluid is not a specific phenomenon for multiple sclerosis. However, the increased anti-tau antibody index suggests an enhanced intrathecal humoral component interacting with neurocytoskeleton in patients with multiple sclerosis.
