Original language description
The article explores options and problems connected with teaching English medical terminology to the students with partial knowledge of Latin and is concerned with mutual interference of both languages within medical linguistic context. It also introduces English as lingua franca for IFMSA. Finally, it comments on the role of the teacher's personal practical knowledge and experience in choosing suitable teaching materials, preparing exam tasks and encouraging students.
