Oncocytic intraductal carcinoma of parotid gland with a novel AGK::BRAF gene fusion
Original language description
Intraductal carcinoma (IDC) is a rare salivary gland malignancy with four subtypes having morphological and molecular differences. This study presents a novel gene fusion in oncocytic IDC of parotid gland of a 67-year-old male. Consistent with oncocytic IDC, the resection specimen revealed an intraductal cystic neoplasia with papillary epithelial fronds and oncocytic cellular features, surrounded by p63 positive myoepithelial cells. Additionally, S100/SOX10 and mammaglobin were positive but androgen receptor was negative. Next generation sequencing disclosed a novel fusion AGK::BRAF.
