Application of stereological methods for the quantification of VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 expression in early stages of rabbit atherogenesis

  • Original language description

The purpose of this study was to introduce stereological methods that may be used for the quantification of immunohistochemical staining, namely intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1).Stereologicalmethods proved to be useful for the quantification of immunohistochemistry and can be used for an objective characterization of atherogenic changes in atherosclerosis.

Aplikace stereologických metod pro stanovení VCAM-1 a ICAM-1 v ranných stadiích aterogeneze u králíka

  • Czech description

Úkolem studie bylo posoudit vhodné stereologické metody pro intracelulární adhezi molekul (ICAM-1) a vaskulární adhezi molekul (VCAM-1).
