Undergraduate medical students should be both theoretically and practically informed about alternatives to the use of animals in research and education. We have prepared a course based on the 3R concept. In the course students mastered scientific background of the 3Rs, ethical and legislative considerations, in vitro alternatives, screen-based alternatives and non-invasive students self-experimentation.

Czech description
Studenti lékařství musí být jak teoreticky tak i prakticky informování o alternativách k pokusům na zvířatech ve výzkumu a ve výuce. Připravili jsem kurs, založený na principech 3R. V tomto kursu se studenti prakticky seznámí s vědeckým základy principu3R, s etickými a legislativními principy, s alternativami in vitro, s alternativami založenými na počítačových modelech a s neinvazivním experimentování studentů na sobě.
