We describe survival after admission to hospital from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in the East Bohemian region, according to the Utstein Style guidelines and have identified the main diagnosis including in those who died and had an autopsy. Conclusion: Of patients resuscitated for OHCA of cardiac aetiology, 9.5 % survived to leave the acute hospital. CHD was the principle diagnosis in the entire group and this correlated with the same finding in the group of patients who received an autopsy.

Charakteristika a krátkodobé přežívání jedinců se srdeční zástavou mimo zdravotnické zařízení ve východočeském regionu

Czech description

Cíl: popisujeme přežívání pacientů s mimonemocničními zástavami srdce (OHCA) po přijetí do nemocnice v regionu Východní Čechy dle Utstein Style pokynů a dále identifikujeme jejich hlavní diagnózu včetně u těch, kteří zemřeli a byli pitváni. Závěr: z pacientů resuscitovaných díky OHCA srdeční etiologie jich 9,5 % přežilo a odešlo z nemocnice. V celé skupině byla hlavní diagnózou CHD, a to i u pitvaných jedinců.
