Double-balloon enterocopy (DBE) is still under evaluation, including its yield and safety aspects. A single center prospective study was designed to consider the relationship between DBE and hyperamylasemia. 35 oral DBEs were carried out in 31 patients (17 men, 14 women). Serum amylase, lipase, CRP and urine amylase were taken before the procedure, 4 and 24 hours after the investigation. Abdominal pain was evaluated using a three-step scale.

Czech description

Dvojbalonová enteroskopie (DBE) je novou metodou, jejíž přínos i nevýhody, včetně bezpečnostních aspektů, ještě stale vyhodnocujeme. V našem centru jsme provedli prospektivní studii k posouzení vztahu DBE a hyperamylazémie po výkonu. Bylo provedeno 35 orálních vyšetření u 31 nemocných (17 mužů, 14 žen). Sledovali jsme sérovou amylázu, lipázu, CRP a močovou amylázu před výkonem a 4 a 24 hodin po výkonu. Bolest břicha jsme hodnotili třístupňovou škálou.
