    For the identification and determination of galantamine and its phase I metabolites (O- desmethyl-galantamine, N-desmethyl-galantamine and epigalantamine) in blood plasma and tissues (liver, brain, hypophysis), a new bioanalytical method based on a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with UV photodiode-array, fluorescence and mass spectrometric detection was developed, validated and applied to pharmacokinetic and biotransformation studies at rats. Plasma samples and tissue homogenateswere purified using a mixed-mode solid phase extraction

    Práce uvádí novou bioanalytickou metodu pro stanovení galantaminu, epigalantaminu, O-desmethyl-galantaminu, N-desmethyl-galantaminu v biologickém materiálu (plazma, játerní, a mozková tkáň a hypofýza). Vzorky jsou přečištěny extrakcí na pevné fázi a analyzovány metodou vysokoúčinné kapalinové chromatografie s detekcí na detektoru diodového pole, na fluorescenčním a hmotnostním detektoru. Metoda byla validována a aplikována u vzorků ze farmakokinetických a biotransformačních studií na potkanech
