Inadvertent embolization of the veins that drain arteriovenous intracranial shunts is likely to precipitate passive hyperemia with subsequent hemorrhage and brain edema. The main-stay of therapy for this complication is to decrease the flow through the shunt as much as possible and maintain the patient's blood pressure below baseline. We herein report our successful attempts at glue removal from partially obstructed straight sinus in two cases using a microsnare. This complication occurred during intracranial arteriovenous shunt embolization.

Czech description
Náhodná embolizace cév, které odvádějí arteriovenózní intrakraniální zkraty pravděpodobně uspíší hyperémii s následným krvácením a otokem mozku. Základem terapie této komplikace je maximální snížení průtoku krve zkratem a udržení krevního tlaku pacientapod minimální hranicí. Zde popisujeme náš úspěšný pokus o odstranění pojiva z částečně zablokovaného tentoriálního sinu u dvou případů za použití mikrokličky. Tato komplikace se stala během intrakraniální embolizace arteriovenózního zkratu.
