This article deals with Czechoslovak travel clubs during the era of the First Czechoslovak republic. The friends of the Orient Travel Club operated in Prague from 1930 to 1936 and the Study Travel Club in 1934-1935. These Clubs undertook travels to the Orient. A travelogue To the Orient,written by one of the participants Emílie Jahnová, is preserved.
