Original language description
A sample of 100 Czech adults (half male and half female) completed the survey concerning type A behavior, type D personality, burnout, life events, and socio-demographic data. The blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides andglycaemia levels were assigned. The subjects with high and low risk were compared with respect to personality characteristics. Remarkable associations between personality characteristics and physiological, as well as biochemical response of organism within the cardiovascular risk factors understanding were found.
