Original language description
By presenting findings about the influence of human ability to perceive and to experience, cognitive theories are offering new subjects to the number of linguistic disciplines. In that wway, a cognitive approach and principles are newly considered and applied in the traditional theory of terminology. It is the field of terminology that is used in the paper to present some aspects common to the cognitive and traditional (structural and structurally-functional) linguistics (semantics). Nomination processes and categories of external reality and its content structure in onomasiological structures of terms are discussed. The paper focuses on the processes of direct and indirect nomination in their relation to terminologization and determinologization.
