Original language description
At present the Amarna cuneiform corpus undoubtedly represents the largest and most important set of documents illustrating a use of cuneiform writing in the 14th century BCE Levant. A new project dedicated to the palaeography of these texts has been started aiming to analyze these cuneiform texts from the perspective of palaeography with special attention given to individual scribal traditions, idiosyncrasies and consistency of practice, technical issues, as well as to various aspects of diplomatics.
