Ondřej Bláha, Robert Dittmann, Karel Komárek, Daniel Polakovič, Lenka Uličná: Canaanite Glosses in Medieval Hebrew Manuscripts Related to the Czech Lands
Original language description
The review presents the extensive study of Canaanite glosses, i.e. words and expressions in the old Czech that have been preserved in a number of Hebrew manuscripts dated to the 13th and 14th centuries. The study made by the Czech academic experts proves the glosses to be an important source to the most ancient stage of development of the Czech language (lexis, morphology, syntax).
