Images of Banderovites in Czechoslovak Archival Documents
Original language description
Activities of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) belong to the most controversial topics of modern history dealing with Ukraine and the Soviet Union (Russia). While the topic of the OUN, UPA, and Bandera is both preserved in numerous Soviet (Russian, Ukrainian) and Polish archival materials, and discussed in all its controversy in Soviet, Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish historiography, it is worth to know that there are a plenty of materials dealing with Banderovites in Czechoslovak archives and historiography. This paper explored, on examples and in general historical context, how the images of Banderovites depicted by Czechoslovak materials differ or agree with their view in Soviet, Ukrainian, or Polish documents.
