Original language description
SUNS - SetUp a Neurofeedback study - is a set of patches written in Python and Pure data which together form a software interface to design and administer experiments using sonic EEG neurofeedback. The software alows user to define dependent veriables based on bandpowers and bandpower ratios. The EEG game parameters can be assigned to on of four sonification principles to facilitate the neurofeedback. Dependent variable values, as well as a number of user defined factors, are registerd and output as txt files at the end of the session.

Technical parameters
This software was created using two languages, Pure Data and Python, and relies on several libraries, one of which was custom made by the author of the software. The libraries (cyclone for Pure data and pyLSL for python) are published as free software and are cited in the software’s web page. The technical innovation of this particular software consists in allowing user to quickly setup an experiment using EEG signal as input and generating sound as output. Both input and output data are recorded by the program, dully tagged to allow statistical analysis of the experiment results.
Economical parameters
The software is designed as an open source program targgeting researchers. The program can be used by anyone under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) 3.0.
