Original language description

The paper presents the key findings from two principal hunter-gatherer sites that dominate the hierarchized settlement structure explored in the western part of Jebel Sabaloka in central Sudan. A special attention is devoted to the large burial grounds uncovered at both settlements and their potential for enriching the discussions on the character, duration and structuring of the two Mesolithic societies at both regional and supra-regional level.
