Fantascienza, donne e ideologia nella DDR. Come il contributo femminile ha trasformato la fantascienza tedesca
Original language description
The increasing importance of gender studies prompts German studies to explore the connection between women and science fiction. The following study concerns an analysis of ideology and gender in the East Germany's texts Der Irrtum des großen Zauberers (1972) by Johanna and Günter Braun and Der Traummeister (1990) by Angela and Karlheinz Steinmüller. To show the cruciality of women's contribution to German science fiction, a literary and ideological study of the context is necessary. From the subsequent novels analysis stands out that women are the "Principle of Hope" for a better new world that remains undescribed. This brings German science fiction closer to the American feminist one and deserves in-depth academic research.
