Czech Historiography Towards Relationships of the Second Czechoslovak Republic, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and Czechoslovak Political and Military Emigration with the Direct Genesis and Course of the Polish-German War in September 1939. Status and Prospects for Research

  • Original language description

The article is an overview and analysis of the existing research of Czech historians on the issue of Czechoslovak resistance in Poland in 1939 and the participation of Czechoslovak soldiers in the fighting in September 1939. The analysis has shown that while the issue of Czechoslovak resistance has been well researched, the role of the Czech lands in the German preparations for the invasion of Poland has so far remained outside the interest of historians. This area should become the subject of further research. The article was written within the project "Kampania Polska 1919 - synteza! (https://www.wojsko-polskie.pl/aszwoj/projekt-kampania-polska-1939-roku-synteza/).
