Original language description
The chapter focuses on the concept of othering in the context of migration. Using linguistic corpora and other sources of data, the authors examine lexical units denoting migrating people in the Czech language and their changes from the oldest times till today. They describe the repertoire of lexemes, changes of their meanings, connotations, and collocations of these units. They also summarise basic profiles of the linguistic image of migration in Czech.
