    The study deals with the issue of expert liability as a part of a comparative survey inspired by the decision of English Supreme court in case Jones v. Kaney. The author presents the overall approach of Czech legislation applicable to professionals as experts or legal counsel as a well-structured system of both civil and criminal liability. The author especially focuses on basic issues of civil law liability such as wrongfulness, scope of damages or character of liability.
