Prosecuting Climate Crime: a criminal law way to combat climate change
Original language description
The presented article focuses on ways how criminal law can assist in climate change fighting and tackles the issue of so called climate crime, i. e. possible violations of norms of criminal law connected with the climate change. First, the article aims at the definition of climate crime and its main features are described. The nature of climate crime and issues connected to its prosecution are discussed later, as well as possible solutions and improvements. Special attention is given to the area of carbon crime, then, as a potential threat to the carbon allowances system.
